In islam, is it okay to listen to music? If not, is it then okay to plant bombs? Why no organised protest?

I think that 95% of Muslims who live in Islamic countries believe in jihad (and I'm not talking about "internal struggle" jihad), say that women who don't cover their heads deserve to be d, adulterers must be stoned, etc. Why do educated Muslims living in places like the U.S. vehemently tell us that "That is not Islam!" but they don't tell their fellow Muslims that "That is not Islam!" ?? Do these tered modern-thinking Muslims really have any credibility? They only open their mouths to defend their faith to non-Muslims. If you're an educated Muslim, don't you think it's time to confront the evil within your own religion? The Christians at least have this to their credit: they have centuries of hard and serious self-questioning and non-fundamentalist developments in movements like Episcopal , Quakers, etc. If Muslims question the hard-liners, they are not tolerated. Christians had their Inquisition 500 years ago... I guess Islam is going through that same phase now.
