I am a mother of a 8 yr old who is looking to start a new life in a new state, but don't know where to start?

Im looking to leave my boyfriend of 9 yrs, I want to live in a new state, Im from Machusetts and am looking to move to Virgina. I have been a house wife and a prisoner to my own home....I have no job, no car....no money. And I want out, I want to pursue my goals and dreams but am being held back....Im just looking for some advice as to where to start. This is a big decision, and I am scared to death. Please help with advice!!
