How to be a navy girlfriend?

I really care for a man that's in the navy. The only problem is he's stationed in Virgina and im in indiana. i would love to date him and be with him. but idk if id be able to do it. how do you move away from your family, to a new places, with only a boyfriend who's leaving out to sea for 7 months in january? i wouldn't be able to leave until december im in college. and id have to wait for the trimester to be up. amd hell leave like a week later. how do i do this? should i wait for him to come back from leave? should i not try at all? no one in my family is any help. can someone please help me...
