I'm wearing a sleeveless plain black dress to my daughter's college weekend event?

I don't want to over dress the dress because it's a casual event but I'm stuck in what to wear with the dress. I was thinking black flip flops. The dress has a round neckline. The dress has silk in it or at least that's what it feels like. Not sure what the outside is made out of. If anyone knows about the dress here's who made it Linda Allard /Ellen Tracy. I do have black shoes with heels but I'll be walking around alot around the campus.
