Does everyone end up needing dentures when they are old?

I don't know any older people (over 60 or so) who don't have dentures. I even know many people in their 40s and 50s and even a couple of people around my age who have dentures. Is it inevitable that you will need dentures one day or is just because I live in the Ozarks that everyone has dentures here? Most of us don't take good care of their teeth and drink a lot of Mountain Dew. I take good care of my teeth now but my parents never took me to a dentist so I didn't go until I was almost 17 and had to get two root cs, four fillings and wisdom teeth out but I haven't needed any dental work since then.
