How do you think this whole Iran thing is going to play out?

As a history major, I'm totally psyched about the possibility of seeing a real, tangible change in Iran. It would seem that it's a clash between the old and the young. what will happen if the pro-modernization youth prevail? Could Iran have a destiny similar to America's in the 19th and 20th centuries? How do you think this will play out?
