Is it normal for a guy to be into transuals and then no longer?

well not normal but i dunno i used to be really into transual so i guess id be bi cuz in my real life i was only into women (biologically) then eventually i figured this is something i liked and i wanted to meet one. The person i met wanted to have with me and i refused mostly because of safety reasons. Ever since (this was years ago) i still feel uncomfortable about this experience. Is that what people would call experimentation?
