Guys views on girls wearing too little and over-doing the make-up?

there are A LOT of girls at my school who completely cake on the make up...you know the huge eye liner and the mascara practically dripping off their faces..and the skimpy clothes that reveal way more than cover. these are all the girls that get boyfriends and it confuses me; is this what guys are really after? i mean i rarely wear make up ( and if i do it looks natural) and i HATE those tacky clothes with a pion; and i won't do all that just to get a guy i like. guys answers are appreciated (especially those who are around 15 or 16) thanks xx
